Join MoMA in celebrating Older Americans Month and the launch of Prime Time with free museum admission for visitors 65 and over today, May 9, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at The Museum of Modern Art, 11 West 53rd Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
Prime Time, an initiative created by MoMA, offers an array of programs, gallery tours, and workshops designed to provide opportunities for older New York City residents to engage with modern and contemporary art. In developing this new initiative, MoMA consulted with many experts in the field of aging, convened an advisory group of older adults and created partnerships with several community-based organizations to provide insight into the kinds of experiences older museum goers might enjoy and reach new visitors as well.
In addition to free admission for visitors 65 and over on May 9th, MoMA is offering 50% off the senior ticket price of $18 to all New Yorkers 65 and older, and a $25 discount on annual memberships throughout May.
