Patrick Wilson, the stage and screen star who received back-to-back Tony nominations in 2001's THE FULL MONTY followed by 2002's revival of OKLAHOMA, has joined the cast of Ridley Scott's upcoming 'Prometheus' film.
The film has released very little detail about its plot, but other cast members include Idris Elba, Charlize Theron, and Guy Pearce, according to Digital Spy.
Wilson's most recent Broadway appearance was in ALL MY SONS in 2008. He has also received an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for HBO's adaptation of ANGELS IN AMERICA and also starred in the film adaptation of WATCHMEN in addition to having a lengthy list of film credits to his name.
The movie is set for a June 8th release in the US, preceded by a June 1 release in the UK. Wilson has already finished filming for the movie, and will next be seen in CBS' 'A Gifted Man' playing a surgeon who reunites with his ex-wife - and later finds out that she's deceased. The series will begin airing September 23.
