PARTY WORTH CRASHING: The Cast of Broadway's Godspell Sings Kerrigan-Lowdermilk

Top Broadway performers to sing the music of Larson Award winners Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk in NYMF concert - Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 at 10 PM at the Zipper Factory, 336 W. 37th Street (between 8th & 9th Avenues).

Following their instantly-sold-out concerts at the Laurie Beechman Theatre earlier this year, the NYMF concert will feature songs from a variety of Kerrigan-Lowdermilk shows, including The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, most recently developed by the La Jolla Playhouse, Tales From The Bad Years, which recently received a full workshop production at the Paramount Theatre in Vermont, and The Woman Upstairs, which was produced as part of the inaugural New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2004.

Director Daniel Goldstein looks forward to bringing together two of his current collaborations for the evening, saying, "Kait and Brian are two of the most talented writers I know, and this is the most talented cast I've ever worked with, so putting the two together seemed like a no-brainer. Though the world will see this company in the future, it's great to have a chance to show them off a bit now." Goldstein is the director of Kerrigan and Lowdermilk's The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown and the Broadway-bound revival of Godspell.

Directed by Daniel Goldstein and produced by Michael Cassara, performers from the Godspell cast include Uzo Aduba (Coram Boy), Sara Chase (Perez Hilton Saves The Universe...), Celisse Henderson (Wicked), Joshua Henry (In The Heights), Morgan James (Pirates!), Telly Leung (Rent), Dana Steingold (Spelling Bee), and Maria Thayer (Forgetting Sarah Marshall). Other special guests include Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening, Hamlet 2) and Heléne Yorke (Grease, High School Musical).

Composer Lowdermilk will be featured at the piano, with Greg Joseph on drums and Randy Landau on bass.
