Parks Hosts Skyliners Drum And Bugle Corps Auditions, 2/20, 3/6 & 3/20

The Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting the New York Skyliners Drum and Bugle Corps rehearsals this winter in Queens. The corps performs at exhibitions, and parades throughout the year and its field corps competes during the summer months throughout the northeastern states in the Drum Corps Associates competition circuit.

The corps is currently accepting applications for performing members in the areas of Brass, Percussion, Color Guard and Dance, as well as support team members and staff.

· Corps membership is open to those 15 years of age through adult, and there are no membership dues or tuition.

· Instruments and Uniforms provided.

· Weekend based activity.

· Brass players should bring a mouthpiece and drummers should bring sticks and drum pad.

Auditions will be held at the Lost Battalion Hall Recreation Center at 93-29 Queens Boulevard on Sunday, February 20, March 6 and March 20 from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
