Full casting has been set for the upcoming national tour of On Golden Pond, co-starring the previously announced Tom Bosley and Michael Learned.

The tour of the popular Ernest Thompson play will kick off on August 22nd at the Ordway Performing Arts Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, for an itinerary that will include stops in San Antonio, Philadelphia and Phoenix, among other cities; the tour will play through March of 2007. Leonard Foglia, who helmed the recent revival on which the tour is based, will once again direct.

Joining Tony Award-winner Bosley (Fiorello!, Cabaret, "Happy Days") and Learned (Gore Vidal's The Best Man, The Sisters Rosensweig, "The Waltons") will be Evan Pappas (Parade, A Chorus Line) as Bill, Shadoe Alan Brandt ("All My Children") as Billy Ray, and Kate Levy (Soldier's Wife) as Chelsea, with Craig Bockhorn (Prelude to a Kiss) reprising his Broadway role as the mailman Charlie Martin.

In the show, "retired New England professor and lovable curmudgeon, Norman Thayer, Jr., and his spirited wife, Ethel, decide to spend one final summer at their family's lakeside cottage in Maine. They are soon interrupted by the arrival of their daughter Chelsea, who, en route to a European vacation, leaves behind her fiancé's young son. Colliding generations soon forge common ground," according to the Of Golden Pond website.

The revival, starring James Earl Jones and Leslie Uggams, ran in summer of 2005. Its creative team--including set designer Ray Klausen, costume designer Jane Greenwood, lighting designer Brian Nason and sound designer/original music composer Dan Moses Schreier--will return to work on the tour. Originally a hit on Broadway in 1979, On Golden Pond inspired a popular film starring Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda and Jane Fonda.
