Panicked Productions presents Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, opening July 13 at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre. The all-female, all-existentialist cast takes on the ultimate play-within-a-play. Audiences will get a new twist on its favorite late-16th-century comedy duo as they go on the road trip of a lifetime. Running July 13 to 29, in association with the Midtown International Theatre Festival.
The Panicked mission to give voice to emerging artists inspired the choice to assemble an all-female cast for its newest production. "I know there are tons of talented and funny ladies out there, many of whom I know personally," says director Glenn De Kler. "They wouldn't ordinarily get a chance to sink their teeth into these great roles."
Panicked Productions does an all-female take on Tom Stoppard's comedy where Hamlet's old school chums wrestle with to-be, then not-to-be, behind the scenes.
