ELYSIAN FIELDS
Friday, November 12 at 11:30 PM; $15

Legendary cult heroes Elysian Fields have always travelled in mysterious waters. Led by the enigmatic New York co-composers Jennifer Charles (vocals) and Oren Bloedow (guitar), the music born of their collaboration is not easy to categorize. They carry a torch for nature, sex, love, the cycle of death and rebirth, and the sounds of folk and jazz ballads, no wave and classical music, seamlessly interwoven into a style that is at once languorously romantic and tough. TimoutNY writes "the voice and presence of Jennifer Charles are so powerful that almost any criticism falls flat," and Oren has been called a "guitar god" by the Village Voice.

INTRODUCING Molly Pope
Tuesday, November 23 at 7:30 PM; $15

The new-old-school-diva Molly Pope returns to Joe's Pub with her latest madcap musical romp, Introducing Molly Pope. Hot on the heels of The Molly Pope Show, which debuted at Joe's Pub earlier this year, she once again brings her signature "Ed Sullivan verve" to the stage in an evening of songs spanning the past 80 years in pop music. A regular face at the hit monthly Top Ten countdown variety show Our Hit Parade, her powerful vocals and dynamic dramatic intensity in performances of songs ranging from Johnny Mercer & Harold Arlen's "Any Place I Hang My Hat Is Home" to The Cardigans' "Love Fool" have provoked widespread comparison to a young Barbra Streisand.

Fresh from a sell-out run on London's West End at The Vaudeville Theatre and major US tour, Pam Ann, the a-list air hostess to the stars, makes a much anticipated return to NYC at Joe's Pub . Glamorous, hilarious and outrageous Pucci-clad Pam has toured with Cher and crewed private jets for Elton John. She will take you on an extraordinary journey from boarding to landing and she'll do it her way. Fasten your seatbelts, stow your designer hand luggage and prepare to be flown like you've never been flown before. Created and performed by Caroline Reid.

Capathia Jenkins & Louis Rosen: A FIFTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Friday, November 19, Saturday, November 20, Saturday, November 27 & Sunday, November 28 at 7:00 PM; $22

The team of Award-winning soul siren and Broadway actress Capathia Jenkins and award-winning songwriter/performer Louis Rosen returns to the Pub for an exciting four-show engagement to perform a selection of their "brilliant... catchy new pop standards" (NY Magazine)].

Over the course of three albums together, the alchemical duo have blended folk, jazz, pop, blues, gospel and Broadway into a unique music that is "completely new... yet as embraceable as any from the classic American Songbook" (Bloomberg News). The New York Times raved that "Mr. Rosen's songs are notable...a continually shifting musical patchwork... earthy [and] tuneful," while Jenkins', "sweet, sunny voice... smiles through the music."

These shows represent the duo's 5th anniversary together, and offer Capathia and Louis "Unplugged," with Jenkins providing the radiant, soaring vocals, and Rosen on guitar, piano and the occasional vocal -in his own sly and understated style. Longtime collaborator, Dave "Bad-Ass" Phillips joins them on bass. Odds are that a few of their other colleagues from the larger Jenkins/Rosen band-such as violin/guitar sensation Rob Moose, or pianist/Broadway conductor Kim Grigsby-will drop in from time to time to join the celebration.

From the pulsating soul-blues of songs such as "How You Gonna Save ‘Em", to the honkey tonk overlay of "The Middle Class (Use To Be) Blues" to plain show stoppers like the whirling conjure song, "The Black Loom" and a preview of new songs that are slated for their next CD, Capathia and Louis deliver a concert that is hot, cool and completely unlike anything else out there.

Barb Jungr
Sunday, November 28 at 9:30 PM; $25

With rave reviews internationally and two New York awards (2008 Nightlife Award for Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist and Best International Artist 2003 Backstage Award), Barb Jungr is renowned for her unique vocal style, approach to arrangements and interpretation of song. Her acclaimed releases on Linn Records and performances have brought her to the world stage and revealed her to be one of Europe's most exciting voices. With London-based music director Simon Wallace on piano, "The Men I Love" features a hearty mix of mostly contemporary songs -- many of them rock, folk, blues and R&B classics -- (with a number of standards adding savor to the mélange). Jungr and Wallace share credit for the show's arrangements, and songwriters include Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Todd Rundgren, Leonard Cohen, Neil Diamond, David Byrne, and Paul Simon among others. Barb Jungr's album "The Men I Love" was released in the US in May and continues to receive international critical acclaim.
