As previously announced, both Gwyneth Paltrow and Carol Burnett will appear on Fox's hit series GLEE this season, both with episodes airing this November. Paltrow will make her GLEE debut on November 16, in the 'The Substitute'. Carol Burnett will be featured the following week on Noember 23.

Gwyneth will star as a substitute teacher for Will Schuester's Spanish class and glee club when he gets sick.  Burnett won the other hand will play Sue Sylveser's Nazi-hunting mother.

Six-time Emmy Award winner Carol Burnett has demonstrated such versatility since ending the 11 year run of the The Carol Burnett Show that she is now as widely recognized for her dramatic abilities as she is for her comedic and musical talents. Americans fondly consider Carol Burnett a true living legend in entertainment, having bestowed more People's Choice Awards upon her than any other woman in the award show's history. In 2003 she was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors and in 2005 received The Presidential Medal of Freedom. Some of her other notable awards include five Golden Globes, the Peabody Award for Friendly Fire, and the Ace Award for Between Friends with ElizaBeth Taylor. She has enjoyed the kind of career that most performers are only able to dream of, moving seamlessly from the stage to television, from feature films to films for television, and from variety specials to music and comedy specials.

Paltrow garnered worldwide recognition through her performance in Shakespeare in Love, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Since then, Paltrow has portrayed supporting as well as lead roles in films such as The Talented Mr. Ripley, Shallow Hal, and Proof, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination as Best Actress in Motion Picture Drama. In 2008, she appeared in the highest grossing movie of her career, the superhero film Iron Man, and then reprised her role as Pepper Potts in its sequel, Iron Man 2.

Entering its sophomore season, GLEE is a biting musical comedy that has quickly become a pop-culture phenomenon. The highest-rated new scripted series of the season boasts critical acclaim, a loyal fan base of "GLEEks," two certified Gold albums, more than 10 million song downloads and an incredible 19 Emmy nominations - earning it the distinction of being the most-nominated series of the year. To top it off, the genre-defying, award-winning series has been picked up through its third season.

GLEE airs on FOX Tuesdays.
