Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Kicks Off 2019 With World-Class International Art Fair For Third Edition

The Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Art Fair (PBM+C), presented by Art Miami and hosted by the City of West Palm Beach, will return for its third edition in West Palm Beach City's Tent Site (825 S Dixie Hwy at Okeechobee Blvd) on Thursday, January 10th through Sunday, January 13th, 2019. PBM+C is the most important fair to take place in Palm Beach during the winter season as it brings a world-class, internationally respected group of art dealers and their artists to one of the most culturally savvy and discerning collecting audiences in the world.

The fair will open on Thursday evening at 5:00pm, with an exclusive VIP Preview benefiting the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens and Joe Namath Foundation. Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, an integral part of the prestigious Art Miami Group, which just celebrated its 29th edition of Art Miami, presents a world-class art fair in Palm Beach, which curates and offers the best investment quality works from the 20th and 21st centuries. The Fair will take place in the intimate and modern setting of a temperature controlled clear span pavilion, conveniently located behind Restoration Hardware, between CityPlace and the luxurious Hilton West Palm Beach.

Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens will serve as a satellite venue and official cultural partner for the fair, presenting Contours in Metal: Sculpture by Gino Miles, and Murano Mosaics: Persistence and Evolution, which includes 20 works that highlight the delicacy, intricacy and beauty of the ancient Venetian heritage of murrini and caneworked glass through the art of Lino Tagliapietra, Clare Belfrage, Giles Bettison and Kazuki Takizawa, courtesy of Tansey Contemporary. Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hall of Fame football legend Joe Namath's MVP performance and Super Bowl III victory by supporting the Joe Namath Foundation and acquiring a work of art donated by artists including Bradley Theodore, Yigal Ozeri, Skyler Grey, Jason Newsted and Danny Minnick, curated by Fair Director Nick Korniloff. Over the last 30 years, Joe Namath has supported hundreds of charitable causes. Through his personal involvement, he has helped to rally volunteers and celebrities to raise millions of dollars. Schantz Galleries presents thirty new works by Maestro Lino Tagliapietra, featuring his most recent innovations in glass. Tagliapietra, who will be at the event, is proud to introduce two of his newest innovations; a large installation of blown glass leaf forms cascading along the wall, and illuminated sculptures, including a fused glass panel inspired by the blue waters off the coasts of Florida.
