Painting with a Twist, the original and largest paint-and-sip franchise, will host fundraising events throughout November to benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation through the company's charitable arm, Painting with a Purpose.
With more than 60 participating studios nationwide, guests can visit http://paintingwithatwist.com/promos/special-operations to find the location nearest them. Guests can sign up to attend an event on their studio's calendar page. At least 50 percent of each event's proceeds will be donated to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides children of special operations personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty with full financial assistance for a post-secondary education, as well as educational and family counseling. The foundation also makes immediate financial assistance available to special operations members severely wounded and hospitalized. Nearly 70,000 Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force personnel, active and reserve, make up units assigned to U.S. Special Operations.
"It is extremely rewarding to host Painting with a Purpose events at studios nationwide to honor those who have given their lives in service to our country," said Renee Maloney co-founder of Painting with a Twist. "Through the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, we, as a brand, have the opportunity to give back to our troops and their families not only on Veterans Day, but all November long."
As part of the businesses' commitment to give back through painting parties, local Painting with a Twist studios hold charity events each month through Painting with a Purpose. The program has raised nearly $2 million for local non-profit organizations.
At Painting with a Twist, guests come together to experience a unique 'getaway' that includes friends, paint and the option to BYOB. Led by local art instructors, guests paint on bare canvases using paint and brushes provided by the studio. There are more than 6,000 original pieces of copyrighted artwork, ranging from landscapes, abstracts and cityscapes, to creative renderings of animals, iconic buildings and florals, which have all been conceptualized and produced by Painting with a Twist art instructors.
