THE REHEARSAL ROOM: "Before It's Hatched" Musicals by New Writers will be presented at Don't Tell Mama NYC, 343 West 46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues on Thursday, November 20th, 2014.
Billed as a diverse night of collected songs, stories, and characters, "Before It's Hatched" features the newest works by Pace University's Musical Theatre Writing Company (Cycle 3). The program is run and taught by award-winning composer-lyricist
Ryan Scott Oliver.
The writers being featured are
Kerstin Anderson,
Ethan Carlson, Emily Dallas, Tommy Evich,
Billy Goldstein, Cory Jeacoma,
Sean Potter,
Iris Sharp, Saidu Sinlah,
Linnea Sumner, Joshua Wise and
Daniel Yearwood. Each writer, or writing team, will be presenting songs and moments from the new musicals they are currently writing in the program. Each student's exceptional and expressive voices will bring together what is sure to be a rich night of unique music and theatre. Among them, the writers have already had their works featured at 54 Below, NYMF, The
Laurie Beechman Theatre and many more. The concert will be hosted by
Ryan Scott Oliver.
THE REHEARSAL ROOM is a recurring concert series that features up and coming writers and composers. Each show will present innovative work, NYC premiers and electric performances. THE REHEARSAL ROOM is produced by
Ryan Scott Oliver and Nessie Nankivell, and is run in conjunction with Oliver and
Lindsay Mendez's ACTOR THERAPY.
Performing at the concert are Travis Kent,

Renee Reinecke,
Emily Rogers, Nikki Scheidt,
Andrea Ross, along with many of the Company's writers performing each other's work.
