Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that PS Classics will record the new Broadway cast album of 110 IN THE SHADE on April 23rd, 2007 to be released June 5th, 2007. The production is currently playing at Studio 54 and plays through July 15, 2007.

Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Tony Award winner John Cullum and Steve Kazee star in 110 IN THE SHADE with Chris Butler, Carla Duren, Christopher Innvar, Bobby Steggert, Elisa Van Duyne, Colleen Fitzpatrick, Valisia Lekae Little, Darius Nichols, Mamie Parris, Devin Richards, Michael Scott, Will Swenson, Matt Wall and Betsy Wolfe.

Directed by Lonny Price, the new Broadway production of 110 IN THE SHADE includes a book by N. Richard Nash, music by Tony® Award honoree Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tony® Award honoree Tom Jones. Orchestrations are by Jonathan Tunick with Music Direction by Paul Gemignani, and choreography by Dan Knechtges. The design team includes Santo Loquasto (Sets & Costumes), Christopher Akerlind (Lights) and Dan Moses Schreier (Sound).

110 IN THE SHADE happens in the middle of a heat wave in 1930's Texas, when everyone is longing for rain or a breeze, and Lizzie Curry (McDonald) is on the verge of becoming a hopeless old maid. Her wit, intelligence and skills as a homemaker can't make up for the fact that she can't find true love. Even the town sheriff, for whom she harbors a secret yen, won't take a chance. However, when a charismatic rainmaker named Starbuck (Kazee) enters the town and her family's life, Lizzie's world is turned upside down.

The album will be produced by Grammy Award-winner Steven Epstein (The Light in the Piazza), who recently produced the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Grey Gardens for PS Classics. The recording is being funded in part through a generous donation from the Shen Family Foundation.

Founded in 2000 by Tommy Krasker & Philip Chaffin, and twice Grammy-nominated (for its cast recordings of Roundabout Theatre Company's productions of Assassins and Nine: The Musical ), PS CLASSICS has been profiled in such publications as The New York Times and Variety for its critically acclaimed cast albums (including the current Broadway productions of Grey Gardens and Company, plus the recent London revival of Sunday in the Park With George, now Broadway-bound as part of Roundabout's 2007-2008 season); solo albums by Jessica Molaskey, Christine Andreas, Jason Danieley & Marin Mazzie, Rebecca Luker – plus its popular reissue of Charlotte Rae's "Songs I Taught My Mother"; and recordings drawn from rare sound archives, including Sondheim Sings, Volumes I & II. PS Classics is distributed by Image Entertainment.

Tickets are currently available by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at (212)719-1300, online at www.roundabouttheatre.org or at the Studio 54 Box Office (254 West 54th Street).
