As the New York Times reported yesterday, Broadway producer Kevin McCollum has joined forces with 20th Century Fox to develop 9-12 musicals based on Fox movies. There is no word yet on which of Fox's 4,500 movies will be adapted for the stage as a part of the deal, but McCollum told NYT: "Theater is about surprises and things that you haven't seen before on stage. There are amazing Fox Searchlight titles and great films from the '70s that nobody today has heard of."
