2019 FRIGID Festival and Midtwenties Theatre Society is thrilled to present Persephone's Cave, a full-length original play, from February 23rd to March 7th at the Kraine Theatre!
Set in Present Day Vancouver, "Persephone's Cave" tells the story of two outcast adolescents named Persephone (Aspiring filmmaker) and Hayden (Aspiring poet) who have chosen to escape the world by locking themselves away from the rest of society, for the rest of their lives, in the projector room of an old cinematheque.
An intimate drama that simultaneously embraces the claustrophobic minimalism of Beckett and the sprawling naturalism of Strindberg. Angsty monologues, metaphorical soliloquys, and bold chemistry come together in this first-ever international premiere of a Midtwenties Theatre original written by BEAU HAN BRIDGE and performed by talented Midtwenties Theatre Repertoire player SHELBY SATTERTHWAITE.

Persephone's Cave will be Midtwenties Theatre's fifth production overall, third production of an original play, and first-ever play to debut in the United States and internationally worldwide.
