PEOPLE YOU MAY KNOW, the popular concert series dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the works of new and emerging composing talents, will present PEOPLE YOU MAY KNOW version 4.0 tonight, February 18 and Monday, February 25 both at 7:00pm at Stage 72 at the Triad (158 West 72nd Street, 2nd Floor - between Amsterdam & Columbus, on the Upper West Side).
The band will feature Ray Cetta (Bass), Micah Burgess (Guitar), Tim Lykins (Drums) and
Andrew Byrne (Piano). PYMK is co-produced by David Alan Thronton.
The PEOPLE YOU MAY KNOW concert series was born of a desire to celebrate new composing artists, and explore the fundamental links that help make them part of the new "Great American Songbook." Each version of the concert series combines the songs of three featured writers along with the familiar songs and composers that have been influential to their work. Each version may include, not only the songs by these writers and their influences, but also original "mash-ups," and medleys. Past concerts have included the works by and influences of
Jonathan Reid Gealt, Robert Rokicki,
Adam Gwon,
Paul Loesel and
Scott Burkell,
Ryan Scott Oliver,
Georgia Stitt,
Mark Petty and
Barry Anderson,
Jeff Blumenkrantz, and
Michael Kooman and
Christopher Dimond.
