Tonight, October 20, Pace Presents welcomes RAMSEY LEWIS and His Electric Band as part of Pace Presents' Music Series at The Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts.

Ramsey Lewis is one of America's best known and most revered jazz musicians with over eighty albums recorded, seven gold records and three Grammy Awards received over his illustrious career.

After having played mostly in an acoustic trio for the last fifteen years, Lewis' latest endeavor has him returning to his electric roots on his newest album Ramsey, Taking Another Look, featuring an electric quintet with Henry Johnson on guitar, Michael Logan on keys, Joshua Ramos on bass and Charles Heath on drums.

Ramsey Lewis has been an iconic leader in the contemporary jazz movement for over 50 years, with an unforgettable sound and outgoing personality that has allowed him to cross over to the pop and R&B charts. After having played mostly in an acoustic trio for the last fifteen years, Lewis' latest endeavor has him returning to his electric roots. This Pace Presents performance offers jazz aficionados a live rarity: Lewis with full electric backing. This three-time Grammy winner and recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Award is recognized internationally as an American treasure. Pace Presents performances take place at The Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts located at 3 Spruce Street between Park Row and Gold Street in downtown Manhattan. Wine is served in The Schimmel Center lobby from our cash bar starting one hour prior to show.
