Owen Benjamin's HIGH FIVE TIL IT HURTS DVD Set for Release Today

Owen Benjamin new special, Owen Benjamin: High Five Til It Hurts, premiered on Friday, June 28th at Midnight ET/PT on Comedy Central. In his first one-hour special, Benjamin shares his infinite wisdom and virtuoso musical ability with a live audience at The Moody Theater in Austin, TX. From talking his way out of speeding tickets, to avoiding arrest by the TSA, and even uncovering the solution to road rage, Owen Benjamin proves that he is unstoppable. Feel his heat as he takes to the piano and tackles Eddie Vedder, Beethoven, Timbaland, and more.

An extended and uncensored CD/DVD combo of Owen Benjamin: High Five Til It Hurts will be released today, July 2 via Comedy Central Records. In addition to featuring material not seen in the broadcast, the DVD will include Benjamin's Comedy Central Presents episode and two videos from his CC Studios series Jokes From The... Owen Benjamin: High Five Til It Hurts will also be available in HD and SD on iTunes, Xbox Video, Amazon Instant Video and Sony Entertainment Network. Leading up to the on-air premiere, the Comedy Central's Stand-Up website will feature preview clips from the special. Holmes will also engage with fans via a CC Tumblr (comedycentral.tumblr.com) "Ask a Professional Comedian" live event, and will live tweet the premiere of the special from @owenbenjamin.

Benjamin's career began in music with an opera singer father and childhood lessons in classical piano. He is currently a series regular on the TBS comedy Sullivan & Son and has previously recurred on Comedy Central's Pretend Time with Nick Swardson, MTV's Punk'd, E!'s Chelsea Lately, and NBC'sThe Tonight Show. Benjamin has also appeared in feature films such as Jack and Jill, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry and The House Bunny, while his short films and web series Owen Benjamin Presents and Gaytown have accumulated over 10 million hits.
