2008 Drama Desk nominee and winner of the Overall Excellence in Solo Performance at the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival, Dixie Longate returns to NYC with DIXIE'S TUPPERWARE PARTY. This hysterical show combining drag, QVC-styled sales pitches, and over-the-top comedy will be presented for one performance only, coinciding with NYC's Gay Pride celebration, on June 27 at Off-Broadway's Gramercy Theater.

DIXIE'S TUPPERWARE PARTY is hosted by the incomparable and outspoken Dixie Longate, an Alabama housewife with a unique take on just about any topic. The evening is presented just like a traditional Tupperware party, but fast-talking Dixie just can't stop telling anecdotal stories from her colorful life -- from her failed marriages, to tips on child rearing, to stints at various women's correctional facilities. Loaded with the most up-to-date products available for purchase, Ms. Longate will share how she became the number one Tupperware seller in the world. as she educates her guests on the many alternative uses she has discovered for her plastic products.

Dixie Longate began doing Tupperware parties in 2001 in Los Angeles and quickly became a sensation among the housewives of Orange County. Dixie's 2007 show at Ars Nova Theater garnered a nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance. Dixie recently completed a 20-city Winter/Spring national tour and resumes touring again in August.

DIXIE'S TUPPERWARE PARTY runs Saturday, June 27 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $25 for orchestra-level tables with waiter service and $20 for mezzanine-level fixed seating. A full service bar is available throughout the show. The Gramercy Theater is located at 127 East 23rd Street at Lexington Avenue (accessible from the F,V,N,R & #6 trains at 23rd Street).
