Organist Paul Jacobs Plays Recital In NYC 11/16

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 7:30 PM, Grammy award-winning organist Paul Jacobs will perform a program featuring the Demessiux Études, the Elgar Sonata and little-known pieces by Nadia Boulanger. Paul Jacobs is the only organ soloist ever to receive a Grammy Award (2011).His upcoming program on November 16 is part of the N.P. Mander Organ Recital Series of Sacred Music in a Sacred Space concerts at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. Called "precisely what the organ scene needs right now" by the Los Angeles Times, Jacobs has been lauded by critics and audiences alike for his tremendous technical abilities and for the wide range of emotions he is able to coax out of the instrument.
