Oprah to Bring Talk Show to Central Park

Oprah Winfrey will bring her talk show to New York's Central Park Summerstage on Friday, 9/18. Special guests will be Regis & Kelly and Mariah Carey, who will perform one song off of her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. It is reported that Oprah will also announce her 63 Book Club selection.

The syndicated broadcast will air live at 10 a.m. EST this Friday.

Winfrey is the lead producer on the musical The Color Purple, based on the movie in which she played Sofia, currently touring the country. The Broadway production played over 900 performances and received 11 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
