Forbes has released its list of the world's 100 Most Powerful Celebrities for this year. In the number one spot is Oprah Winfrey, followed by Beyoncé Knowles, James Cameron, Lady Gaga, Tiger Woods, Britney Spears, U2, Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, and Madonna.
Beyond the top ten, the list's notables include Jay-Z (15), Angelia Jolie (18), Ellen Degeneres (23), David Letterman (24), Robert Pattinson (50), Cameron Diaz (60), Kristen Stewart (66), Sarah Jessica Parker (70), Meryl Streep (79), Daniel Radcliffe (82), Alec Baldwin (88), and Tina Fey (90).
Forbes's list, which ranks the most powerful people in the world of entertainment, measures celebrities' power in money and fame. To do so, Forbes estimates celebrities' earnings (this year's list covered the period from June 2009 to June 2010) and calculates fame based on various criteria, including web hits, Facebook fans, Twitter followers, mentions in the press, and appearances on magazine covers.
