DKNY and Opening Ceremony are teaming up.
The Donna Karan International brand and the influential retailer are teaming on a limited capsule collection featuring DKNY looks from its early Nineties archive. The 15 pieces celebrate the moment when DKNY made a fashion statement with its famed New York landscape print and body-conscious silhouettes. The collection hits Opening Ceremony stores in New York, Los Angeles, London and Tokyo tomorrow, as well as openingceremony.us.
"DKNY was a pioneer of streetwear fashion in the Nineties," Opening Ceremony cofounder Carol Lim said. "We have been longtime fans of the brand and were very excited to bring back select, quintessential styles that feel fresh even today."
Jane Chung, executive vice president of design for DKNY, said she has admired Opening Ceremony practically since its 2002 opening. "Their unique and creative point of view mixed with Nineties throwbacks are very reminiscent of DKNY's core DNA," Chung said. "They were a natural partner to reissue iconic styles from our early years."
