Only Two Weeks Left To See Ailey's Holiday Season At New York City Center

The 32 extraordinary dancers of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater "burst onto the City Center Theater stage with heroic vitality" (The New York Times) for an exciting holiday season ending on New Year's Eve. There are just two weeks and sixteen performances remaining for audiences to see this season's premieres and returning favorites, including Alvin Ailey's must-see masterpiece Revelations.

Upcoming highlights include a Christmas Eve matinee performance that features Twyla Tharp's critically acclaimed The Golden Section, Billy Wilson's jazz inspired The Winter in Lisbon, and Robert Battle's tour de force duet Ella; and a Special Season Finale on New Year's Eve encoring the season with excerpts of the world premieres and new productions. The timeless Revelations will bring an inspiring close to both performances.

The holiday joy continues with special programs that will rock the entire family: "Family Matinee Series" on Saturdays ending with a free Q&A with the acclaimed Ailey dancers in the theater, "All New" program featuring three season premieres, and "All Ailey" program comprised of works by the company's founder.
