One Ring Zero Performs at The Jewish Museum's Summernights Concert Series, 7/26

The Jewish Museum's popular SummerNights concert series concludes with One Ring Zero on July 26. The band performs unique Balkan-inspired sounds, including songs with lyrics by Paul Auster, Margaret Atwood, and other writers. DOORS OPEN AT 7 PM. THE CONCERT BEGINS AT 7:30 PM. Attendees will also enjoy an open bar with beer and wine, and free ice cream courtesy of Chozen. The Jewish Museum is located at Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street, Manhattan.

Featuring unique Balkan-inspired sounds, One Ring Zero - with founders Michael Hearst and Joshua Camp, as well as Timothy Quigley, Ian Riggs, and Ben Homes - performs a selection of their music including songs from As Smart As We Are: The Author Project, with lyrics by Paul Auster, Margaret Atwood, Dave Eggers and Neil Gaiman.

One Ring Zero has released eight albums, including Planets, a collection of new compositions that represent the solar system and beyond; and The Recipe Project, in which the band has taken recipes from top chefs, set them to music, and sung them word for word. One Ring Zero has performed at the Whitney Museum of Art, Central Park SummerStage, the Kennedy Center, Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, Spring Scream in Taiwan, Era in Tokyo, New Morning in Paris, The Chicago World Music Festival, and the Fundacion Principe de Asturia in Spain. The band's music has been featured in dance concerts, films, television shows, fashion shows, and NPR programming including This American Life, Fresh Air, and Morning Edition. 

The 2012 SummerNights concert series has been funded by a generous endowment from the William Petschek Family. 

Public Programs at The Jewish Museum are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.  Major annual support is provided by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. The stage lighting has been funded by the Office of Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer. The audio-visual system has been funded by former New York Assembly Member Jonathan Bing.
