Omaha Fashion Week kicked off its eighth fall fashion season and has grown to be come the fifth largest fashion week in the country in terms of how many designers participate and number of attendees. Omaha Fashion Week has continued through the week, leading up the Saturday Night Finale, August 23rd, in the tents at the Capitol District on 12th and Davenport. Tonight the best of the week will present their collections to vie for the FIM Cup Winner, receiving a $10,000 prize package.
Designers competing and showing tonight are: Designs by Suey; Get Plastered!; Zarankova; Fella; Wallflower; Denise Ervin Designs; Bridget Julia; Kate Walz; Jane Round; SuShe by J. Tracy; Max Millian and Whitney Rorah Designs. Dan Richters and Buf Reynolds will also show Capsule collections.
Last night the runway featured debut S/S 2015 collections from Evening Wear designers: Bridget Mahoney for Bridget Julia; Berthier De La Cruz; Lauren Birkentall for Lauren Nicole; Fella Vaughn for Fella; Borsheims; Adrienne Anderson for Quite-a-Riot; Elda Doamekpo for AFIELDA; Kate Walz. Buf Reynolds presented a beautiful new collection that strikes a balance between art and fashion called, Phaesporia-Light Bringer, a fashion event that follows that path of a woman's metamorphosis from dark to light.
Omaha Fashion Week is also hosting the official OFW After Party tonight featuring Deejay Sweetlife! A special presentation of the best of OFW will take place on the main runway at 11:30. Party starts immediately after the Finale Runway show concludes.
