Omaha Fashion Week Kicks Off Eighth Fall Fashion Season

Omaha Fashion Week kicked off its eighth fall fashion season last night with Accessories, Children's Wear and Bridal showcase. Omaha Fashion Week has grown to be come the fifth largest fashion week in the country in terms of how many designers participate and number of attendees. Omaha Fashion Week will continue through the week, leading up the Saturday Night Finale, August 23rd, in the tents at the Capitol District on 12th and Davenport.

Last night Susan Ludlow for Designs by Suey, Jessica Collins for Jessica Lynn Children's Wear, Aubrey Sookam for Moarkoos Modern Designs, Michaela Cawley for KKINI, Maximillian Suiter for Max Millian, Margie Trembley Chapeaux, Jessica Lynn for Jacklynn and Whitney Rorah with Whitney Rorah Designs

Designs by Suey showcased a hand-crocheted, jungle theme children's wear collection, with glow-in-the-dark detailing. Jessica Collins/Jessica Lynn created a Rock n' Roll inspired kids collection. Markoos Modern Designs filled the runway with flower headpieces paired with flowy, whimsical dresses. KKINI showed neutral tones cover ups and neon one-piece swimwear designs. Margie Trembley, hat and accessory designer, debuted her collection, Chapeaux, a Kentucky derby inspired line. Max Millian featured beautiful black and white garments with classic silhouettes and modern materials. Jacklynn offered body-conscious silhouettes with silk and sparkle. And lastly, Whitney Rorah Designs closed the showcase with a floral wedding enthused collection, with 3-D handmade fabric flowers covering entire dresses.

Tonight's showcase will debut brand new spring/summer 2015 collections from Ready-To-Wear designers, featuring designers; Vessela Zarankova for ZARANKOVA, Samone Davis & Britney Rose for Legalized Rebellion, Hannah Olson for Hannah Caroline Couture; Katie Thompson, Tamara Newson for Iconic by Tamu, and Denise Ervin Designs
