The 64th Annual Tony Awards today announced that Tony Award winners Karen Olivo and Greg Jbara will host the Creative Arts Awards which will take place during the first hour of the Tony Awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 13th. The Creative Arts Awards will be sponsored by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, and will consist of 15 award categories. Karen Olivo received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in West Side Story. Greg Jbara received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his role in Billy Elliot: The Musical.
For the first time ever, NY1 will telecast full coverage of the Creative Arts Awards, from 7:10 - 8:00 p.m. to Time Warner Cable's New York City Region customers in HD on channel 701 from 7:10 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Additionally, the Awards will be simulcast live to the Clear Channel Spectacolor Screen in Times Square in New York City. For those outside of the New York City area, the first hour of the Tony Awards will be available on www.TonyAwards.com.
The Tony Awards, hosted by Sean Hayes, will be broadcast live in HD, from Radio City Music Hall on CBS, Sunday, June 13th, 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay). The 2010 Tony Awards are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
