Reeve Carney (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), Rory Kinnear (Skyfall) and Harry Treadaway (The Lone Ranger) are the latest stars to join the cast of the highly anticipated Showtime drama series, PENNY DREADFUL, which will begin filming this fall for a 2014 premiere on the network. They join recently announced Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton and Eva Green. Reeve Carney will play Dorian Grey in a reprisal of Oscar Wilde's supernaturally attractive and decadent young hero. Rory Kinnear will play a mysterious character of haunting intensity. In an exciting new version of Mary Shelley's inspired and obsessed genius, Harry Treadaway will take on the role of Dr. Victor Frankenstein.

PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller created, written and executive produced by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan (Hugo, The Aviator, Gladiator) and executive produced by Logan's Desert Wolf Productions, along with Oscar winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall) and Pippa Harris (Revolutionary Road, Call The Midwife), both of Neal Street. Of the eight episodes, the first two will be directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, who helmed The Orphanage and the acclaimed film The Impossible, starring Naomi Watts in her Oscar-nominated performance.

Reeve Carney was handpicked by director Julie Taymor to originate the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the hit blockbuster Broadway musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. He was also chosen to portray the late musician Jeff Buckley in the upcoming biopic Mystery White Boy. He starred in the film Snow Falling on Cedars in a role that garnered him a Young Artist Award, as well as The Tempest. The singer-songwriter and frontman for the eponymous band Carney, who recently released their debut album Mr. Green Vol. 1, has written songs that have appeared in films including The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 and Spread ("Think of You"), and he performed a song for the hit series One Tree Hill. He was featured recently in Taylor Swift's music video for her chart-topping song, "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Rory Kinnear is an award-winning British actor, perhaps best known for his role as "Bill Tanner" in the James Bond films Quantum of Solace and, most recently Skyfall. Other film credits include Cuban Fury, Broken (Won Best Supporting Actor at the BIFA's) and Wild Target, with his TV credits including new comedy series, Count Arthur Strong, the Tony Grisoni-written Southcliffe, Loving Miss Hatto and Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror. Kinnear is also hugely respected for his theatre work, winning the 2011 Evening Standard Award, Best Actor for his performance in Measure for Measure and Hamlet, in which he also picked up an Olivier Award nomination - an award he won (Best Supporting Actor) for his performance as "Sir Foppling Flutter" in The Man of Mode in 2008. He is about to play "Iago" in Othello at The National Theatre directed by Nicholas Hytner.

Harry Treadaway who most recently starred in The Lone Ranger, opposite Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, first appeared on Showtime in the drama series Meadowlands. He has also starred in award-winning features, including Andrea Arnold's Fish Tank; Joy Division bio-pic Control; and British cult film Brothers of the Head. He took the lead in the BAFTA-nominated short film Love You More by Patrick Marber, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. Treadaway's theatre credits include Ibsen's Ghosts at the West End, and Tribes at The Royal Court. Treadaway just finished filming the lead role opposite Rose Leslie in the independent feature Honeymoon, and the BBC 1 Drama Truckers out in October.
