Ladylike Productions has announced its inaugural show, Jitter a one-act comedy written by Richard Sheinmel (Downtown Dysfunctionals), and directed by Clyde Balbo (Charles and Diana, The Musical) at the Arclight Theater.    The production will also feature a sketch comedy curtain-raiser. The show will run June 15th through July 1st.

Richard Sheinmel's comedy Jitter tells the story of four New York City kids, friends since high school and now in their twenties. "Lyndie and Paul are engaged to be married, but Paul is still curious and would like to test the waters with Daniel.  Daniel has long carried a flame for his best friend but doesn't want to be a home wrecker.  Meanwhile Jo and Alice can't help fighting in the street; as these two women, passionate in love, break up for the third and final time - or is it? Lives are forever changed in the course of one night as limits are tested, boundaries broken and secrets revealed," state press notes.

Featured in the cast are Dan Almekinder, Camille Burford, Collette, Zach McCoy McGuire and Sara Vanbeckum.  The production will feature costume design by Ramona Ponce.

The mission of Ladylike Productions "is to inspire and offer theatre as both community outreach and emotional therapy; to produce plays and readings that challenge the mind, lighten the heart and allow stories to be told that are a healing and necessary part of the female role, not only in theatre, but also the communities in which we live.  By highlighting feminine feminism we want our audience to experience great theatre and share in our goals.  We believe that the power of family, community, and storytelling can and will change the world."

Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm, Sundays at 2:00 pm and Mondays at 8:00 pm.  All tickets are $20.00.  For reservations, call 646-369-7991. The Arclight Theater is located at 152 West 71st Street just east of Broadway.
