DISASTER!, the 1970s disaster movie musical comedy, will play its final performance Off-Broadway tonight, April 11th, after a smash six-month run at the St. Luke's Theatre (308 W. 46th Street). It's 1979 and New York City's hottest partiers are blowing out their feathered hair and putting on their best polyester threads and platform shoes to head to the grand opening of the Barracuda, Manhattan's first floating casino and discotheque. Playing multiple roles in the ensemble are Sherz Aletaha, Kristy Cavenaugh, and Saum Eskandani. Drew Geraci (The Scarlet Pimpernel, A Chorus Line) and Ashanti J'Aria (Saturday Night Fever) are the company swings.

During the past six months, other top-notch musical comedy talents appeared in the cast, including Mary Birdsong (Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me), Haven Burton (Violet, Shrek, Legally Blonde), Paul Castree (9 to 5, Young Frankenstein), John Treacy Egan (Nice Work if You Can Get It, The Producers), Stacey Oristano (Truly Stone on "Bunheads," Mindy Riggins on "Friday Night Lights"), Michele Ragusa (Young Frankenstein, Urinetown), Robb Sapp (Shrek, Wicked), and two-time Tony Award® nominee Mary Testa (Wicked, Xanadu, 42nd Street, On the Town), as well as co-author and director Jack Plotnick.
