There is no better way to celebrate Fall in NYC then participating in ShakesBEER, NYC's Original Shakespearean Pub Crawl, produced by New York Shakespeare Exchange, the company dedicated to making Shakespeare accessible to all.

October's ShakesBEER returns to Hell's Kitchen, with a whole new line-up of scenes and actors, today, October 4 and Saturday, October 11. The event kicks off at The Gaf (401 W 48th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) before moving on to Hibernia (401 West 50th Street, between 9th & 10th Avenues), Perdition (692 10th Avenue, between 48th and 49th Streets) and Lansdowne Road (599 10th Avenue, between 43rd and 44th Street). Admission is $45, which includes four drink tickets redeemable for beer, wine and select cocktails at the participating bars. Check-in begins at 2:30 PM at The Gaf for the 3 PM kick off. For tickets or more information, visit www.shakespeareexchange.org. Advance booking is strongly recommended.

ShakesBEER is a three-hour pub-crawl that features plenty of Bard to go with your beer (or wine or cocktails). The crawl is divided between four bars, with Shakespearean scenes breaking out at each location. The actors are shoulder-to-shoulder with the audience, drawing them in and making this experience about as "up-close and personal" as Shakespeare gets.

October's ShakesBEER features scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream; Henry IV, Part 2; Romeo & Juliet; and Twelfth Night. The featured actors include Harry Barandes, Chris Corporandy, Phil Mutz, Sarah Nedwek, Katherine Puma, Colin Ryan, and Katelin Wilcox.
