The West Bank Café announces our October, 2007 line-up of live entertainment, to be presented in The Laurie Beechman Theatre. The West Bank Café is located at 407 West 42nd. St. (at Ninth Avenue). For reservations, please call 212-695-6909, between the hours of 12PM & 6PM.

Please note there is a $15 food and/or beverage minimum at each performance, with the exception of The After Party. All major credit cards are accepted.

The After Party is every Friday from 10:30PM to 2AM. No cover, no minimum.  October guests include last year's "Broadway Idol" winner Jaclyn Huberman (October 12) and Spring Awakening's Jonathan Groff (Oct. 19).

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is pleased to announce a new talk/variety evening, Saturday Night Underground: a casual variety show, featuring interviews and performances from some of New York's most intriguing personalities. And the fun doesn't stop there, audience members are encouraged to get up on stage and sing a song or tell a joke, recommend a great restaurant or complain about a bad date – so bring your sheet music or guitar, your funny stories and your axes to grind. From 11PM til 2AM, join host Ben Rimalower (director of The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero, Joy and Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches) for this new, regular event in the theatre district. Special guests on the include: At Least It's Pink's Bridget Everett, Singer/Songwriter Elizabeth Harper, LOGO New/Now/Next's Wendy Ho, Singer/Songwriter Lance Horne and from Les Miserables, Doug Kreeger and Haviland Stilwell.

In honor of National Coming Out Day, tenor Christopher Preston Thompson and composer/pianist Richard Pearson Thomas revive Thomas' evocative, unpublished song-cycle "Far Off," presenting its first public performance in 10 years. Other composers on the program include Francis Poulenc, Benjamin Britten, George Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim, Frank Wildhorn and more, comprising an evening of half art song recital, half cabaret, with special guest singer Brandon Cutrell.

The Gossip Factory

Reminiscent of a "Saved by the Bell" episode gone horribly awry, the Gossip Factory invites you on an adventurous journey through a typical day for Halliburton Middle School students. An outrageous ensemble cast presents these angst-ridden teens as they face the tribulations of middle class bourgeois life and struggle with the American dream of today's youth. This original Gossip Factory creation whisks audiences back to the glorious days of book reports and bus rides, hall passes and history, puberty and PE.

Marcus Simeone: At Last

Miranda Music is proud to announce the release of "At Last," the debut CD of widely acclaimed vocalist Marcus Simeone. "At Last" is an introspective, imaginative collection of soaring ballads, pop songs and American classics brilliantly arranged by musical director Barry Levitt and his quartet featuring Chip Jackson on bass, Brian Gryce on percussion and Kenny Brescia on electric guitar. In celebration of Halloween, come dressed to the hilt or dress as you, yourself and I for an evening of fun and frivolity. Hosted by The After Party's Brandon Cutrell, there is no cover and no minimum for this event, and you might even win something for best costume. Come and sing something scary (or something from a "scary" musical), as the mic is always open, or sit back and haunt the folks at your table. The scary shots flow freely. Special guests to be announced soon.
