OUR SINATRA to Return to Feinstein's, 1/17-21

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post will continue its Winter and Spring 2012 season with the return of the long-running Off-Broadway revue "OUR SINATRA: A MUSICAL CELEBRATION." The show's original stars and creators – Eric Comstock,Christopher Gines and Hilary Kole – playfully interact with one another, sharing their joy passion for this great music as they lovingly sing the hits of Sinatra, individually and in combination, taking the audience back to relive their memories. The show includes over 50 songs interspersed with witty banter and humor. The show covers Sinatra's entire musical cannon from the classic ballads of the 40's to the saloon and torch songs, the 50's and 60's swingers and the all time hits. Our Sinatra steers clear of imitation and impersonation as these accomplished performers deliver the great music of Sinatra. The New York Timescalls Our Sinatra "An utterly winning tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes" and "Superior Entertainment." "OUR SINATRA" is a celebration of the magic and music of the legendary Frank Sinatra. The show features over 50 Sinatra classics including such songs from his early years as "All or Nothing at All" (his very first recording), "I'll Never Smile Again" and "Oh, Look at Me Now," from his movie career ("My Kind of Town," "All the Way"), his saloon songs ("One for My Baby," "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning") and his hits from the 50s & 60s ("Night and Day," "Fly Me to the Moon," "The Lady is a Tramp"). Conceived by Eric Comstock, Hilary Kole and Christopher Gines, "OUR SINATRA" originally opened at the Algonquin Hotel's famed Oak Room in August of 1999 before it was expanded as an Off-Broadway show at the Blue Angel Theatre in December of 1999. By the time it finished its run in July 2002 it had amassed 1,096 performances. "OUR SINATRA"played off-Broadway at the legendary Birdland Jazz Club from November 2003 through March 2004. Eric Comstock, one of America's top performers of the pop & jazz songbooks, recently finished an acclaimed engagement at the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room Supper Club with jazz vocalist Barbara Fasano. They received the 2010 Nightlife Award for Outstanding Duo. Eric is the co-star and co-creator of three critically acclaimed shows which tour coast to coast: Our Sinatra(over 1,300 performances Off-Broadway); Made for the Movies: A Hollywood Songbook; and Singing Astaire. Other New York appearances: Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, Rose Hall, New York Festival of Song, Town Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Space, The Carlyle, Feinstein's, Café Sabarsky, Birdland, Iridium, and the 92nd Street Y. Eric appears at jazz festivals and nightclubs from coast to coast. Christopher Gines has appeared in cabarets, jazz and night clubs, theaters and performing arts centers throughout the U.S. and internationally, notably The Algonquin's Oak Room, The Rainbow Room, Birdland, Lincoln Center and The Houston Astrodome. He is a co-creator and star of the award-winning, critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway hit Our Sinatra, the original production of which enjoyed a run of more than 1,300 performances. Two successful national tours and numerous productions around the country quickly followed. Gines went on to co-create and star in "Singing Astaire." His recordings include "Christopher Gines Sings Charles DeForest" and "The Way It Goes."

Hilary Kole co-wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed, Off-Broadway reviews, Our Sinatra and Singing Astaire. Hilary has recorded and concertized with music legends Oscar Peterson, David Brubeck, and Michel Legrand, and has recorded with Hank Jones, John Pizzarelli, David Frishberg, Monty Alexander, Benny Green, Freddy Cole, Alan Broadbent and Cedar Walton among others. Hilary's debut recording, "Haunted Heart" was released to critical acclaim in April of 2009, winning the Gold Disc Award in Japan, and receiving 4 stars in Downbeat.  Her newest recording, an unprecedented compilation of piano and vocal duets with the world's greatest pianists entitled "You Are There" was released on August 10th, 2010 and was a USA Today pick for "Best Album of the Year for 2010" in addition to winning the 2011 Bistro Award for Recording of the Year.

Hilary began her professional career at the legendary Rainbow Room as the youngest singer ever to grace the stage (while still attending Manhattan School of Music for Composition).  From there, she debuted at the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, made her concert hall debut at Lincoln Center as part of the "American Songbook Series" with Jonathan Schwartz, and in June of 2007, appeared at Carnegie Hall in a Tribute to Oscar Peterson. She also performed at the Canadian Memorial to Dr. Peterson at Roy Thompson Hall alongside Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, and Nancy Wilson. Additional major concert appearances include headlining in New York City at Town Hall, Birdland, The Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Jazz Standard, and Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops and with Michael Feinstein. FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present "OUR SINATRA" from Tuesday, January 17 through Saturday, January 21. Shows are Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM with additional 10:30 PM shows on Friday and Saturday evenings.
