OTC to Present DRACULA: BLOODLINES at Gene Frankel Theatre, Begin. 8/22

The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company (OTC), under the artistic direction of Thomas R. Gordon, continues its 2nd season ("a season focused on dreams") with the world premiere new play DRACULA: BLOODLINES, penned by Mr. Gordon, with performances beginning August 22nd prior to an official press opening of August 25th at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street) in Manhattan.

It was Jonathan Harker, with the help of Abraham Van Helsing, who succeeded in finally ending the evil of Count Dracula, in Bram Stoker's "Dracula." Now inDRACULA: BLOODLINES, one hundred and twenty years after the Count was destroyed, citizens of New York City have started having recurring dreams involving vampires, causing rumors of a new and spreading darkness. Meanwhile, Morris Harker (great-great-grandson of Jonathan Harker) finds himself in a relentless and powerful struggle for his soul.

Written and directed by Thomas R. Gordon, DRACULA: BLOODLINES will feature a cast that includes: Martin Meccouri, MaryBeth Schroeder, Sara Hymes, Mallory Campbell, Brian Henderson, Mieke Stapelberg, Sam Deas, Christina Helmer and Patrick Marran.

The design/production team for DRACULA: BLOODLINES will be Tasha Partee (Production Manager), Samantha Ryel (Assistant Stage Manager), Charlotte Gaspard (Costume Designer) and Zach Serafin (Set Designer).

Now in its second season, The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company is made-up of Thomas R. Gordon (Artistic Director), Tasha Partee (Production Manager), Charlotte Lily Gaspard (Costume Designer) and Zachary Serafin (Technical Director) and strives to not only entertain, enlighten and educate its audiences, fostering connections between local communities and organizations, as well as serving as a catalyst for further education, discussion and study about theatre and the arts. The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company also focuses on theatre that speaks for the underdog and is dedicated to producing shows that can change a person's heart and imagination. Previous productions include earlier this season's production of MACBETH, as well as re-imagined productions of Chekhov's THE THREE SISTERS, Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST and Aristophanes' LYSISTRATA (set in modern-day Wall Street).

The Onomatopoeia Theatre Company will next present A DREAM PLAY from November 7 through November 17, at the Gene Frankel Theatre.

Scheduled August 22 through September 8, DRACULA: BLOODLINES will have a performance schedule of Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 1:30pm. Tickets are $20 for General admission and $10 for students, and can be purchased online at www.theonomatopoeiatheatrecompany.com.
