Comedic storyteller Robin Gelfenbien is thrilled to celebrate National Ice Cream Month with funny true stories from Joel Marsh Garland (Orange is the New Black), Jordan Carlos (The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore), Johanna Gohmann (New York Magazine), Jolenta Greenberg (Moth Story Slam Winner) and a special appearance by Catherine Curtin (Orange is the New Black) at this month's Yum's the Word show tonight, July 12th at le poisson rouge.

Each month Robin hosts this storytelling show/birthday party for Audience members replete with Mad Libs, nostalgic candy and her signature homemade ice cream cakes. The themes for the stories are always inspired by ice cream, and this month's theme is "Half Pint: Stories of Childhood."

Ever since Robin was a little girl, her family has been making ice cream cakes for their birthdays, and she's since carried on that tradition for her friends' birthdays. They became so popular that she blended her passion for making ice cream cakes with her passion for storytelling, and Yum's the Word was born.

"Ice cream cakes remind people of their childhood, and I want to celebrate that nostalgia with the purest form of entertainment, storytelling. The show is all about indulging your sweet tooth and your inner child, especially for National Ice Cream Month!" says Gelfenbien.
