Adam Lowe Theatrical and New York Musical Theatre Festival will present the US premiere of the Australian hit musical, Oprahfication. Oprahfication is written by and stars awarding winning performer Rachel Dunham with an original score by Shanon D. Whitelock and directed by Dirk Hoult. Beginning performances tonight, July 17, the show will run through July 24 at Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 212-352-3101 or visiting www.nymf.org.

In 2011, Oprah closed the book on 25 years of dominating global television to focus on building her new empire, the Oprah Winfrey Network. It's not been going so well. Now, Oprahfication brings her back with a one-off retrospective episode to celebrate those years and present to you the ultimate interview.

The laughs are constant. Oprah's journey through Gospel, Motown, doo-wop, rock ballads, love ballads, and lullabies is a celebration of all things 'O' from her earliest beginnings to her wildest dreams.

Oprahfication was first performed in 2012 and premièred at the 2013 Adelaide Fringe Festival with subsequent seasons at The Melbourne Cabaret Festival, The Ballarat Cabaret Festival and Adelaide's Feast Festival. Oprahfication recently completed a run in Melbourne as part of the Midsumma Festival and in Sydney as part of the Mardi Gras Festival 2014.

This loving tribute to one of the world's most influential personalities has garnered extraordinary reviews including "Dunham skills work quickly and perfectly in situating the audience into a smile-inspiring performance. It makes you wonder, though, just how much Oprah did she actually have to watch?" Star Observer; "Side-splitting, Rachel Dunham extraordinary portrayal of the fading talk-show queen coupled with an unforgettable original score by Shanon Whitelock, guarantees to have you screaming for more." The Australian Stage; "Dunham is a talented performer. Her big, brassy voice alone is worth the price of a ticket." The Age; "This original musical evokes the drama, passion and hype one would associate with Oprah herself. Oprahfication is amazing: it left this reviewer literally weak at the knees." Theatre Press
