In this week's edition, we hear from Joel Perez, who is currently starring as 'Roy/Pete/Bobby Jeremy' in Fun Home- playing at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Read on to find out his top five picks!

1. In the Heights

I had the good fortune of seeing In the Heights just before they won big at the Tony's. Honestly it's the reason I moved to New York and decided to be an actor. I felt like there was finally a place for me on Broadway. I went on to do the 1st National Tour and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

2. Caroline, or Change

Jeanine Tesori is a goddess. That's all.

3. Sunday in the Park with George

I basically just want to BE Mandy Patinkin so... Also, George is one of my dream roles.

4. Spring Awakening

I was one of those awkward, emo Puerto Rican kids so this show really spoke to my SOOOOOUL.

5. Hair

I played Berger in college. I was pretty method about getting into character and really living like a hippie for a few months. That's a lie, I am pretty much a hippie in real life and this was a good excuse to do so.
