Light Opera Works presents the musical OLIVER! with full 26-piece orchestra, December 22 through 31, 2012, at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston.
The 1960 musical version of Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist includes the songs "Consider Yourself," "Where Is Love?," "As Long as He Needs Me," "Who Will Buy?" and "I'd Do Anything."
OLIVER! is directed by Rudy Hogenmiller, choreographed by Chris Carter and conducted by Light Opera Works music director Roger L. Bingaman.
Casting for OLIVER! includes James Harms (Fagin), Colette Todd (Nancy), Cary Lovett (Mr. Bumble), Michael Semanic (Oliver Twist), Darren Barrere (The Artful Dodger), Edward J. MacLennan (Bill Sykes) and Sarah Jane Blevins (Widow Corney).
The design/production team for OLIVER! includes Adam Veness (scenic), Brenda Winstead (costume), Sienna Macedon-Kusek (hair and make-up), Andrew Meyers (lighting), Tom Campbell (stage manager) and Katie Beeks (production manager).
The opening night reception for OLIVER! is sponsored by Whole Foods Market Evanston.
OLIVER! is Light Opera Works' final production of 2012. The 2013 season will begin with H.M.S. PINAFORE (June 8-16), followed by CABARET (August 10-25), GERSHWIN'S GREATEST HITS (October 4-13) and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN (December 21-31).
