The Town Hall, Broadway's landmark concert venue, (123 W. 43rd Street) announces its 90th Anniversary season lineup. Headliners include Tony Award ®winning Broadway star Ben Vereen; the acclaimed musical comedy troupe Capitol Steps, back by popular demand; Grammy Award® winning singer and songwriter Don McLean; the world premiere of a new production by the Romulo Larrea Tango Ensemble; Broadway stars Linda Eder and three time Tony Award® nominee Kelli O'Hara; celebrated singers and actors Andrea Marcovicci and Jeff Harner; Grammy and Tony Award® winner Dee Dee Bridgewater and the acclaimed concert series Broadway By The Year®, featuring the years 1921, 1932, 1982 and 1997.

Monday, February 14 at 8PM - BROADWAY BY THE YEAR: MUSICALS OF 1921.
Created, written and hosted for The Town Hall by Scott Siegel, The Broadway By The Year series takes the audience on a musical travelogue through the best of the Great White Way for the year 1921, featuring major Broadway and cabaret talents. This program will include the songs "I'm Just Wild About Harry" by Eubie Blake, "Say It With Music" by Irving Berlin, "April Showers," "Toot Toot Tootise," "California, Here I Come," and more! Capitol Steps With fresh new material that is constantly updated these acclaimed musical, political and social spoofsters return to The Town Hall performing songs from their most recent release, "Liberal Shop of Horrors," as well as new songs in step with breaking news. The
Capitol Steps have been a Washington, DC institution for over 20 years, a wacky group of Senate staffers who set out to make fun of the very people and places that employed them. Current examples include the Democrats' plan to defeat the deficit ("Return to Spenders") and their own thoughts for health care reform ("Cash for Codgers"). They have been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and can be heard nationally on public radio.
Capitol Steps puts the "MOCK" in democracy...but Congress can probably say the same thing. Tickets are $45 & $50.Â

The second event of this season's Broadway By The Year was created, written and hosted exclusively for The Town Hall by

One of America's classic singer-songwriters, Grammy Award ® winner
Don McLean, who has recorded over 40 gold and platinum records worldwide and was inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame, will return to The Town Hall. He will be performing songs from his soon to be released CD Addicted to Black. McLean is associated with his enduring hits "American Pie" and "Vincent (Starry Starry Night)" and his songs have been recorded with artists from almost every musical genre. His special guest Dar Williams is one of the most acclaimed talents of the current folk-pop scene. She will perform songs from her new CD Many Great Companions. Tickets are $45 & $50.
Friday, April 29 at 8PM ROMULO LARREA TANGO ENSEMBLE
Returning to The Town Hall to present the world premiere of their new production Tangos from Gardel to Piazzolla, this acclaimed ensemble has had international success. The ensemble, under the musical direction of maestro Romulo Larrea, with vocalist Verónica Larc, and six tango dancers will take you into a world of intense emotions, beautiful music, outstanding melodies and stunning dances. Built in 1921 by a group of suffragettes, The Town Hall began as a lecture hall and public forum for debates. Over the decades, Eleanor Roosevelt, Margaret Sanger, Billie Holiday, Igor Stravinsky, Bob Dylan and MiLes Davis have graced the stage. Today the hall flourishes as a popular, affordable venue, boasting the hottest acts in rock, pop, folk, cabaret, world music, comedy and dance, including Billy Joel, Blondie, Elvis Costello, Natalie Merchant, Graham Nash, Liza Minnelli, Cyndi Lauper, Norah Jones, Andre Watts, Henry Rollins, Joe Jackson, Pink Martini, Regina Spector, Brian Adams, Aimee Mann and Dawn Upshaw.
