O'Donnell to Return to 'Drop Dead Diva'

According to a report by TVGuide.com, Rosie O'Donnell will be making a surprise appearance in this season of Lifetime's new hit comedy Drop Dead Diva.  O'Donnell's character, Judge Madeline Summers, will be helping out Jane in order to save one of her clients.

Drop Dead Diva is an American comedy-drama/fantasy television series that debuted on Lifetime on July 12, 2009. The hour-long series, which was created by Josh Berman, is produced by Sony Pictures Television.  The second season of Drop Dead Diva began June 6 and airs on Sundays at 9 on Lifetime.

After formally taking a break from the comedy circuit in 1995, O'Donnell went onto host the Emmy winning The Rosie O'Donnell Show, and The View and star on Broadway in GREASE. Additional Broadway credits for the star include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, TABOO, and SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL.
