Stage and screen stars Brian F. O'Byrne and Evan Rachel Wood are set to join Kate Winslet in the upcoming HBO Miniseries, "MildrEd Pierce." The show will center around Winslet as MildrEd Pierce Beragon as she worked as a waitress to support her family, consisting of her husband Bert, played by O'Byrne, and her daughter Veda, played by Wood, in Los Angeles during the Great Depression.

Todd Haynes will direct the series, based on James M. Cain's novel of the same name. Filming will take place in New York beginning in April.

O'Byrne first attracted notice for his performances in the Martin McDonagh plays The Beauty Queen of Leenane and The Lonesome West. He is known for taking on serious and dramatic roles, such as a serial killer in Frozen (for which he won a Tony Award) and a priest accused of child molestation in Doubt. O'Byrne also appeared as a priest in the film Million Dollar Baby. In May 2007, O'Byrne was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance as Alexander Herzen in Tom Stoppard's trilogy The Coast of Utopia.

Wood's film credits include Whatever Works, Across The Universe (directed by Julie Taymor), The Wrestler, Little Secrets, Thirteen (Golden Globe nom) and Running With Scissors. She recently received the Young Hollywood Superstar Award. Her many television appearances include "Once and Again" (Young Artist Award - Best Ensemble in a TV Series) and "American Gothic." She recently appeared on stage in Romeo and Juliet at Theatre in the Park in Raleigh, NC. Wood recently dropped out of the upcoming Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.
