First Friday! + Bronx Seaside Trolley
Friday, November 5
5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Concert at 7 p.m.
Join us for an evening visit and discover the magic of the mansion at night. The McDonald-Bianculli Flute and Guitar Duo play music by Bach, Handel, Paganini, and more at 7 p.m. Tour the mansion and enjoy light refreshments. The free Bronx Seaside Trolley makes a continuous loop from the Pelham Bay subway station to BPMM to City Island. Registration requested. Museum admission: $8 adults; $5 seniors & children 6-17; members free

Exhibition Trip
Saturday, November 13
11 a.m.
Exhibition Trip to see the William Jay Bolton windows at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn Heights with Director of Music and Church Historian Gregory Eaton. Departure from Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum at 10 a.m. Registration required. Space is limited, registration required. Cost: $25

Exhibition Family Program
Saturday, November 13
11 a.m.
Learn about the 19th-century Bolton family of Pelham Priory, ways to document family history, and then create your own family tree (please bring photos). Appropriate for children aged 6-10. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required. Cost $5 per child; members free

Holiday Paper Quilling Workshop
Saturday, November 20
2 p.m.
The art of paper filigree has been around for centuries. Learn techniques that will have you curling, bending, cutting, and gluing fine pieces of paper to make fabulous paper artwork perfect for a holiday card or gift. Space is limited, registration required. Cost $15; members $10


December Events

Holiday Candlelight First Friday! + Bronx Seaside Trolley
Friday, December 3
5:30pm - 8:30 p.m.
Experience the magic of the mansion at night -by candlelight -fully decorated for the holidays. Each room in the mansion features a Christmas tree inspired by a vintage children's Christmas storybook. Do a little shopping at our Holiday Shop and enjoy music by the wonderful Metropolitones, a seven-sisters-college alums a cappella group. Light refreshments served. The free Bronx Seaside Trolley makes a continuous loop from Pelham Bay Park #6 subway station to Bartow-Pell to City Island. Registration requested. Cost $10 adults, $7 seniors and children 6-17; members free

Annual Holiday Family Day: A Storybook Christmas
Saturday, December 4
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Holiday spirit abounds during this fun-filled day. Children delight at Christmas storytelling and holiday crafts. Plus professional photographs with Santa (additional fee), holiday shopping, caroling, and more. Storytelling at 10:30 and 11:30; space is limited for storytelling. Registration required. $20 children age one and up; members $15 (adults and children under one free).

The Bronx Arts Ensemble and Singers present a wonderful holiday concert with music for St. Nicholas. Concert is free, but space is limited and tickets are required. Call Bronx Arts Ensemble at 718.601.7399 for tickets. The Museum will not be open for guided tours this afternoon.

Candlelight Tours

6 - 8 p.m.
Experience the magic of the mansion by candlelight - decorated for the holidays. Christmas trees inspired by children's holiday stories adorn rooms throughout the mansion. Tours by costumed docents highlight 19th century holiday traditions. Light refreshments served. Reservations requested. Cost $10 adults, $7 seniors and children 6-17
