Time management, anger control, early childhood survival tips-and the experts who wrote about them! On a new day and at a new time, the Pen Parentis Literary Salon presents three nonfiction books and the authors who penned them: Laura Vanderkam (168 HOURS), Kristen Schultz Dollard (CALM MOM: PUTTING THE OM IN MOM) and Mary Ann Zoellner and Alicia Ybarbo, Emmy award-winning producers for NBC's TODAY with their new book TODAY'S MOMS.

Pen Parentis Nonfiction Night is on Thursday, May 13th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, in the handsomely appointed Libertine Library at Gild Hall (15 Gold Street at Platt in Lower Manhattan).

The four nonfiction authors share the stage to read from their newest work, then sign books and mingle with authors and readers alike. Pen Parentis, the sponsor of this open arts event series, is a local organization that provides resources to authors who are also parents.

Pen Parentis founders, local authors M. M. De Voe and Arlaina Tibensky, lead the pair of notable writers in discussing how parenthood has affected their successful careers. Full bar and small plates are available at happy hour prices from the private, upstairs bartender.

Admission is free. Donations warmly accepted. For more information consult the Pen Parentis website at www.penparentis.org.
