No Name Presents The Uptown Cabaret, Beginning 10/20

No Name Presents: The Uptown Cabaret is an opportunity to play; to enjoy your music; your art; an opportunity to share this joy with your fellow singers, composers and lyricists. Bring that new audition song! Bring that song that you'd never get to sing otherwise! Bring that new material for your BMI class and test it out in a safe and fun place!

The Autumn leeeeaaves...haven't had a chance to fall yet 'cuz it's been too warm and wet for the them to change as yet... But it is beginning to smell like pumpkins and apples and if you have a song about one of my favorite seasons, BRING IT! But also, as it is that spooky time of year, if you have a song you have been too afraid to try or show off, you know it's time to brave it like a kid at the top of the stairs of the basement in a horror flick and come on UP! with the new music you've learned or written, or have needed to learn or write but have put off (been there).

Come on UP and play with us in Upstate Manhattan! You know you want to. We are continuing the series with "Alex learns a pop song!" and we hope to bring back the Featured Composer Series from the Big Night Out Days, so composers and lyricists, come on up and show us your stuff! (Locals Donna Stearns, music director Rich Campell and Jonathan Larsen Award winner Josh Cohen have done it, so can YOU!)

Indian Road Café offers an excellent wine and beer -and coffee!-selection as well as great food from paninis to lobster mac and cheese all amidst a warm and casual atmosphere. They also are home to a weekly singer/songwriter open mic, comedy shows and classical performances by Opera On Tap.

So come join us for the Uptown Cabaret Thursday, October 20th and continuing on the third Thursday of every month. Come bring out your new fall ensembles - fashion and musical - drink some courage and stop being afraid of coming this far north. Come on UP!
