No Name Presents THE UPTOWN CABARET, 8/13

Come on UP and play in Upstate Manhattan! You know you want to. Composers and lyricists, come on up and show your stuff! (Locals Donna Stearns, former music director Rich Campell and 2011 Jonathan Larsen Award winner Josh Cohen have done it, so can YOU!)

Our next installment of No Name Presents: THE UPTOWN CABARET SPOTLIGHT features composer Drew Fornarola. Drew, like Josh H. Cohen, was part of Prospect Theatre's Museum Pieces a few years back. Since then, he has contributed to Prospect's Fools For Love concert this year, participated in NYMF alumni events and his NYMF show College The Musical is being performed regionally. Indian Road Café offers an excellent wine and beer –and coffee!-selection as well as great food from paninis to lobster mac and cheese all amidst a warm and casual atmosphere. Check out their "punch of the week" along with other fab cocktails! They also are home to a monthly singer/songwriter open mic, comedy shows and classical performances by Opera On Tap.

So come join us for the UPTOWN CABARET August 13th and continuing on the second Monday of every month. Come test out your new songs, songs you've resolved to write or learn or songs that you just love to do in a part of the city you might not otherwise see.
