54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Nikki MacCallum in "Familiar Things" on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 at 9:30 PM.

The show is a celebration of Kander & Ebb music and takes us from familiar childhood memories that one-day become unfamiliar to the unfamiliar challenges of adulthood that one-day become familiar. Throw in a middle school performance of "Mr. Cellophane," and have "Sara Lee" as an eleven o'clock snack and you have, "Familiar Things." The piece began development at the Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Conference, which was under the direction of John McDaniel.

MacCallum will be joined on stage and at the piano by Musical Director and Arranger, Mark Hartman, who has played, and been Associate Conductor on multiple Broadway shows including, Avenue Q and Sondheim on Sondheim. The piece is directed by Kelvin Moon Loh who also directed MacCallum's previous cabaret, Matchmaker Matchmaker I'm Willing to Settle! which received a MAC Award nomination in 2011. "Familiar Things" includes additional material written by Eric Kornfeld, who has written for Bette Midler, Betty Buckley and also had work featured on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Caroline Rhea Show and on Comedy Central.

Nikki MacCallum in "Familiar Things" plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Tuesday, September 16th at 9:30 PM. There is a $25-$35 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.

A native of Massachusetts (Go Pats!), Nikki holds a BM from New York University and is a proud member of AEA. As a cabaret artist, she was last seen in NYC at Lincoln Center performing a set from "Familiar Things," as part of a tribute to the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. She was also recently a featured soloist at Birdland alongside Donna McKechnie and Jerry Mitchell. Last summer she attended the Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Conference, under the direction of John McDaniel, where she began developing "Familiar Things." Her previous cabaret, Matchmaker Matchmaker I'm Willing to Settle! won a MAC Award nomination in 2011 and has since been written into an original musical that was first work-shopped at A.R.T.'s OBERON before transferring to N.Y.M.F's Developmental Series. There have also been productions at Ars Nova, NYU, and most recently, The PiTCH series at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. As a performer, Nikki has been seen Off-Broadway, in various productions around the US, and was recently featured on VH1. www.nikkimaccallum.net
