Nikki Blonsky Set To Perform During CAMP NYC 8/17-21

The Broadway Workshop, Manhattan's fastest growing acting program for young artists, has
added "Hairspray" star Nikki Blonsky to their list of guest artists who will participate in it's "CAMP NYC" program. "CAMP NYC" will take place in New York City August 17-21.

Ms. Blonsky returns to The Broadway Workshop following two sold out Master Classes last fall. She will return as the featured performerin The Broadway Workshop's "CAMP NYC Finale" held at New World Stages, the award winning, state-of-the-art off-Broadway theatrical venue. Forty students, ages 9-13, from across the United States will have this special opportunity to perform with Ms. Blonsky.

"I am thrilled to return to The Broadway Workshop to once again work with students who are pursuing a career in the performing arts. I am especially excited to have the opportunity to perform with them this time" said Blonsky. Marc Tumminelli, Director of The Broadway Workshop

In addition to Ms. Blonsky, Broadway stars, Stephanie Fittro ("Legally Blonde"), Jonathan Sandler ("Mary Poppins"), Kristy Cates ("Wicked"), Christy Faber ("Les Miserables") and "Annie" film star Aileen Quinn will be teaching special Workshops and Master Classes throughout the camp week.

"CAMP NYC" is a five-day musical theatre camp designed for student's ages 9-13 taking place Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 21. Camp will be held at Ripley Grier Studios located at 520 8th Avenue with a "CAMP NYC Finale" presented at New World Stages. The cost of the five-day program is $675.00, which includes a ticket to a matinee performance of "Shrek The Musical" on Broadway.
