Broadway heats up this summer when the company of the record-breaking, Tony Award-winning hit CHICAGO welcomes two newcomers and two celebrated veterans to its starring roles.

First up, on Monday, June 20, Chris Sullivan makes his CHICAGO debut in the role of "Mister Cellophane" Amos Hart. Sullivan, who recently made his Broadway stage debut in Lombardi, takes over for Raymond Bokhour, who plays his final performance as Amos Hart on Sunday, June 19.

Sullivan is followed by Tony Award-nominee Christopher Sieber, who returns to the role of Billy Flynn on Thursday, June 23. Sieber most recently appeared on Broadway as Georges opposite Harvey Fierstein in the Tony Award-winning revival of La Cage aux Folles. Current star Brent Barrett plays his final performance as Billy Flynn on Sunday, June 19.

On Friday, June 24, audience favorite and two-time Tony Award nominee Charlotte d'Amboise returns to the role of Roxie Hart. For her portrayal of this role in previous national tours of CHICAGO, d'Amboise earned the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award, L.A. Ovation Award and a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award. d'Amboise takes over for Christie Brinkley, who plays her final performance on Sunday, June 19.

As previously announced, Brinkley is set to reprise her performance as Roxie Hart in the West End production of CHICAGO this summer, with a four-week engagement at London's Cambridge Theatre, Monday, July 11 through Saturday, August 6.

Finally, on Wednesday, July 6, the CHICAGO company is pleased to welcome Nikka Graff Lanzarone as she makes her debut in the role of merry murderess Velma Kelly. Lanzarone, who last appeared on Broadway in Lincoln Center Theater's production of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, takes over for current star Amra-Faye Wright. Ms. Wright concludes her Broadway engagement as Velma Kelly on Sunday, July 3 prior to joining Christie Brinkley in the West End production beginning Monday, July 11.

Carol Woods and R. Lowe continue in the roles of Matron "Mama" Morton and Mary Sunshine, respectively.

As previously announced, this summer, CHICAGO will play Thursday matinees at 3 p.m. The new summer performance schedule goes into effect the first week of July (see below for full details).

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, and featuring a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking, CHICAGO features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Tony Award winner William Ivey Long, lighting design by Tony Award winner Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer.
