The acclaimed original Broadway cast of Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me will reunite for the final two weeks of performances when Nicole Parker returns December 26 through January 7.
Parker left the production to return to her role on Fox's "Mad TV." The show also features Brooks Ashmanskas, Mary Birdsong, Capathia Jenkins and on-stage musical director Marc Shaiman playing a wide variety of different characters, both real and imagined, who figure into Short's parallel reality.
Fame Becomes Me, conceived by Martin Short and Scott Wittman features a book by Martin Short and Daniel Goldfarb (Modern Orthodox), music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (Hairspray) with additional material by Alan Zweibel.
The Broadway engagement of the show will play its final performance on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street). The original cast album of Fame Becomes Me will be released on Ghostlight Records in mid-February.
