Film star, musician, writer, television producer and multi-media mogul Nick Cannon returns to his stand-up comedy roots with the debut of his first-ever comedy special, NICK CANNON: MR. SHOWBIZ, making its world premiere on SHOWTIME on Saturday, May 14th at 9 PM ET/PT.

Filmed in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino Resort, Cannon uses his trademark charisma and natural comedic timing to give the audience a refreshingly honest account of his journey to stardom as well as a sneak peek into his whirlwind, jet setting lifestyle. He unabashedly reveals his thoughts on his famous marriage (to music icon Mariah Carey), pending fatherhood, and how to put an end to his buzzed about Twitter war with hip-hop star Eminem. He also shares candid stories about his humble beginnings, his family, his 'hood tendencies' and failed attempts at being a gangster.

Cited by People Magazine as one of the "Top Ten Most Successful Young People in Hollywood" and featured on the cover of Black Enterprise Magazine 40 Under 40, Cannon is a successful multi-faceted entertainer. At the age of 15, he began landing stand-up comedy gigs at world-renowned comedy venues, including The Improv and The Laugh Factory and shared the stage with the likes of Chris Tucker, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock. Soon, he earned a regular spot on Nickelodeon's "All That" and became the youngest staff writer in television history at the age of 17. Then came The Nick Cannon Show, which he starred, directed and executive produced, earning him his first Kid's Choice Award.

Since 2002, he has appeared in Men in Black II, landed the lead role in Drumline, and released his own self-titled debut album. His other film credits include Underclassman, which he also executive produced, Shall We Dance, Roll Bounce, Garfield: The Movie and Bobby, which led to a SAG nomination for "Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture" and Cannon becoming the first black actor in history to be honored at the world-renowned Cannes Film Festival with the "Breakthrough Actor of the Year" Award. In 2005, MTV debuted Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out, an improv comedy show that Cannon created, produced and hosted for four consecutive seasons.

Next month, Cannon will return as the host of NBC's America's Got Talent for a third season. He also heads his own successful multi-media company, NCredible Entertainment, in addition to serving as the Chairman of TeenNick, Nickelodeon's new television network aimed at the teen audience and host of the #1 morning radio show in New York City tri-state on CBS 92.3 NOW FM and new nationally syndicated weekend Top 40 countdown radio show, "Cannon's Countdown," which kicks off April 23rd.

NICK CANNON: MR. SHOWBIZ is executive produced by Cannon, Michael Goldman, Brian Volk-Weiss and Barry Katz. New Wave Dynamics will release the digital album of the same name on May 14th and the CD on May 31st.
